Japan-based TOHO HOLDINGS has invested in AdipoSeeds, Inc., a venture company spun off from Keio University School of Medicine that develops regenerative medicine products utilising platelets, as outlined below.

TOHO HOLDINGS is a corporate group active in the medical, nursing and healthcare fields, engaged in pharmaceutical wholesaling, dispensing pharmacy, manufacturing and sales of pharmaceuticals, and development and provision of customer support systems.

AdipoSeeds was established in July 2016, based on the research results of Professor Yumiko Matsubara, current Visiting Professor at Keio University School of Medicine's Sports Medical Research Center. Based on Professor Matsubara's technologies related to platelet production from non-hematopoietic stem cells, platelet preparation, evaluation, and preservation, AdipoSeeds aims to become a global pioneer in platelet-based regenerative medicine by solving the challenges facing platelet-related medical care worldwide with its unique technologies.

Through this investment, TOHO HOLDINGS will support AdipoSeeds' research and development while working to strengthen our portfolio of regenerative medical and cell therapy products.
