Taiwan Healthcare+ Expo 2018 is being attended by 25 delegations from important organisations throughout Korea, China, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Taiwan Healthcare+ Expo 2018, opened today at Taipei City, is being attended by 25 delegations from important organisations throughout Korea, China, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
At the inaugural function, Tsai Ing-Wen, President, Taiwan, pointed out, "Taiwan's Medical Device Industry is a leader in Asia. We are the number one exporter of electric wheel chairs in the world, and the second largest exporter of artificial joints in Asia. We hope that this event will generate opportunities to tap into international cooperation networks, and create endless possibilities for Taiwan's next-generation healthcare technology industries".
Following the President's inaugural address, Jia-chyuan Su, President, Legislative yuan spoke, "Taiwan has become a mecca of R&D. The country has already done good progres in high end medical products and will continue to divert its technology towards healthcare development. For the first time, government medical industry, commercial industry and private enterprises have come together on a common platform. The government will continue to support the med tech industry. Taiwan is capable of designing new solutions to meet the unsatisfied demands".
"The Healthcare Expo this year has 30 percent more stalls than last year. There are a total of 1358 stalls in the Expo this year", revealed Jin Pyng Wang, Chairman, Research Centre for Biotechnology & Medicine Policy; Chairperson, Taiwan Healthcare Expo Committee.
Taiwan Healthcare+ Expo is the signature expo in Asia Pacific that provides solutions for medicine, health, and care. The expo is being conducted from 29th November to 2nd December 2018 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre. There are 200 business meetings planned for the entire 4 days of the event.
