Samitivej, Sony collaborate to promote medical services

Singapore: In a bid to improve the Thailand healthcare industry and promote medical services in the country, Samitivej has joined forces with Sony. The two companies have planned to organize and execute pilot medical projects such as content management system and the Telehealth camera systems.

As per the terms of the agreement, Sony will lease pilot medical systems to Samitivej for evaluation, including its its content management system (CMS) and Telehealth camera system in the medical field. Sony will also provide Samitivej with regular updates on its medical products and solutions, and share reference installations and case studies.

Dr Chairat Panthuraamphorn, CEO, MD, Samitivej, said, "We are emerging as regional leaders in healthcare in Thailand. The collaboration with Sony, will strongly position us to offer innovative services, given our advanced IT infrastructure, medical excellence, full team of experts and readiness to provide services to both Thai and foreign customers."

He added that the advances in healthcare technology has enabled Samivitej to offer innovative services in healthcare. Dr Panthuraamphorn further stated that the collaboration will help in serving people in rural areas of Thailand and help in advancing safer and more precise treatment and care.
