Thailand's Srisawan Hospital has collaborated with GE Healthcare with an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to leverage digital solutions to improve patient-care outcomes and increase staff productivity while reducing intensive care unit (ICU)-related healthcare costs.

Under the MoU, GE Healthcare will seek to support Srisawan Hospital with two advanced digital solutions- A secure asset maintenance and management software tool which simplifies the monitoring of patient and examination-related volume trends to optimize productivity, process management and patient flow; and an integrated user-friendly solution that supports in the management of  workforce resources and quality of care as well as reduction of error risks and healthcare related costs in the ICU.

The MoU is the first of its kind for Srisawan Hospital, an established name in tertiary care in central Thailand. The hospital, which currently operates a 200-bed facility in Nakhon Sawan offering specialist treatments in areas such as cardiology and oncology, aims to fully digitalize the operations of its first hospital in Bangkok, Srisawan Bangkok Ratchaphruek.

Scheduled to open in November 2022, the new facility will offer an extended range of specialties, including cardiac catheterization, oncology, and a dedicated stroke unit with mechanical thrombectomy. In addition to upgrading its Hospital Information System (HIS) for the new facility, the hospital also plans to implement a complete Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, which will enable it to digitalize the majority of its operations.
