To advance organ donation at both the national and international levels

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), United Arab Emirates (UAE) represented by the National Centre to Regulate Human Organs and Tissues Transplantation, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Police to support the National Programme for Donation and Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissue, “Hayat”.

The agreement aims to transform the organ donation system by establishing a pioneering model of institutional integration, developing highly efficient rapid-response mechanisms for emergency cases, and enhancing safety and transparency in procedures to save as many lives as possible.

It also outlines joint initiatives to raise community awareness, develop an advanced digital platform to accelerate coordination and information exchange, and train specialised medical personnel.

Under the MoU, both parties will establish joint task forces and committees and develop clear action plans to advance organ donation at both the national and international levels.

They will also collaborate in conducting specialised studies and scientific research related to organ donation, as well as in awareness-raising, training, and education through exchanging expertise and data, regulating awareness programmes, and promoting the right to donate.
