Japan-based Veritas In Silico Inc. (VIS) has been conducting a collaborative drug discovery research on mRNA-targeted small-molecule drugs with Takeda Pharmaceutical under a research agreement entered into with on June 19, 2023. While the research had yielded certain results to date, following discussions with Takeda and VIS, the research shall be terminated amicably.
Going forward, the companies are to continue to discuss and consider possible future applications of the findings gained through the research.
The impact of the termination of the research on VIS’s business performance is expected to be limited, and no change is anticipated to the earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending December 2026, announced on February 15, 2026.
