Singapore: Former president of International AIDS Society, Dr Joep Lange, along with a delegate of 100 HIV/AIDS advocates from AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), lost their lives on Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 that crashed in Ukraine on July 17.

The delegation was enroute to Melbourne, Australia, to attend 20th International AIDS Conference scheduled to begin on July 20th.

"To have so many people who have crossed the globe devoting their lives to helping humanity cut down in this fashion is an unspeakable tragedy," commented Mr Michael Weinstein, President, AIDS Healthcare Foundation.
