18 February 2020 | News

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between LSQ and ABLE

At the ongoing Life Sciences and Biotechnology convention BioAsia 2020, being held in Hyderabad, India from 17th to 19th February, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Life Sciences Queensland (LSQ) in Australia and the Association of Biotechnology Led Enterprises (ABLE) in India.

The MoU was signed by Dr Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, CMD, Biocon, who is also serving as the non-executive Chairman of ABLE, and Clare Blain, CEO, LSQ.

"On behalf of LSQ, I am looking forward to this historic relationship with ABLE. There are several opportunities in collaboration with Queensland,  for example clinical and pre-clinical research, sub-tropical and tropical life sciences, etc.", says Blain.

"Through collaboration, we must leverage innovation and market opportunities. We need to think about how to take advantage of the innovative ecosystem built at Queensland, and connect with the incubators and startups here in India. Likewise, we can find commonalities and common grounds where both countries can work together", shares Dr Kiran Mazumdar Shaw.
