Prem has deep roots in biopharma and leadership. He brings with him over 23 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry and has held various leadership roles in India and Southeast Asia within Pall, a company under the Danaher group. He’s driven to continue the growth story for ASEAN through collaboration with regional and global stakeholders. Prem’s biopharma career started in 1998 and his growth trajectory continued as he joined Pall in 2009, where he held various leadership positions across Southeast Asia and India. Most recently, in Pall Life Sciences, he led the Biotech business in India and Southeast Asia. Simultaneously, he was at the helm as Country Leader for Pall India Pvt Ltd (Pall’s Industrial and Life Sciences) presence in India. Prem has a Master’s degree in Microbiology from University of Madras and a Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Microbiology from Loyola College, Chennai.

Dr Kitipong Uaesoontrachoon

Chief Scientific Officer,

Dr. Uaesoontrachoon has been involved in the gene therapy field for more than a decade, starting with the neuromuscular diseases. Under his guidance, promising therapies have either entered into various phases of clinical trials or received accelerated approval for use by The Food and Drug Administration (US FDA). He received his PhD in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Melbourne, Australia and post-doctoral training in the laboratories for genetic medicines at Children’s National Medical Center, Washington, DC. He held an Adjunct Professorship in Department of Pharmacology at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada, and served as the Principal Director of Research at AGADA Biosciences overseeing their entire pre-clinical trials and clinical testing operations. Currently, he holds a Chief Scientific Officer position at Genepeutic Bio, a CDMO specializing in manufacturing CAR-T cells for treatment of various forms of cancer.

Dennis Chau

Dennis is a dynamic business leader who brings with him over 20 years of proven track record of revenue growth and exceptional operating margin in Asia-Pacific, leading high-technology, life sciences, medical device and healthcare corporations. He joined Cytiva in September 2021, and currently leads the commercial Discovery operating company for the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining Cytiva, Dennis led the lab and medical businesses across Asia at Pall, a company under the Danaher Group. He also held various leadership positions in Thermo Fisher and Merck. Dennis graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Industrial Chemistry from University Science Malaysia and M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from National University of Singapore.

Prof. Tan Yong Zi

Assistant Professor, Department of Biological Sciences,
National University of Singapore

Yong Zi earned his PhD from Columbia University (USA) working under Prof. Bridget Carragher, Prof. Clint Potter and Prof. Filippo Mancia, and did his post-doctoral training at The Hospital for Sick Children (Canada) under Prof. John Rubinstein. Trained as a cryogenic electron microscopist, he has solved structures of various macromolecules from ribosomes to membrane proteins, and has a keen interest in methods development. He is now an assistant professor at NUS Department of Biological Sciences, where his lab looks at understanding the structure and function of membrane proteins involved in human diseases using cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo-EM).
