Agilent University in Singapore is the company's first training center in Asia
Singapore: Agilent Technologies has opened a training facility in Singapore, named as Agilent University, to provide technology courses for Agilent customers and field support engineers from the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.
"The comprehensive training we deliver will help our customers-whether lab technicians or cutting-edge researchers-meet today's most complex challenges and enhance lab productivity," said Chow Woai-Sheng, Singapore country general manager and Agilent vice president of global supply chain and logistics, Agilent.
Agilent University in Singapore is the company's first training center in Asia to cater to both Agilent's customers and employees.
"With the presence of Agilent University in Singapore, the surrounding regions stand to benefit from an increasingly large pool of talent and workers in life sciences whose skills are upgraded and empowered through the courses we offer," Chow said.
"Singapore's life science tools and diagnostics sector is well-positioned for growth, with the sector growing by more than two times in terms of output and employment over the last five years," said Thien Kwee Eng, assistant managing director, Singapore Economic Development Board. "We welcome Agilent's latest investment, and look forward to deepening this partnership even further."
