Singapore: ParkwayHealth Laboratory, a clinical laboratory service provider in Singapore, is to provide Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg) quantitative assay.

With HBsAg Quantitative Assay, physicians can now receive information about the condition of patients afflicted with Hepatitis B and allows better tailoring of treatment and clinical management to the patient. Chronic HBV (hepatitis B virus) patients can use the HBsAg Quantitative Assay to monitor their illness, their response to treatment and predict the potential of developing liver cirrhosis (scarring of the liver) and cancer.

HBsAg Quantitative Assay requires a small blood draw from patients. It adopts a technology called chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay, which generates light when HBsAg is detected.
