Takeda Pharmaceuticals has named Dion Warren as Head of the I-SEA Multi-Country Organization (MCO), effective April 1, 2023. Dion is based in Singapore and leads the MCO which includes India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam.  

Dion will collaborate with his team across I-SEA to rapidly launch an innovative vaccine to combat dengue as part of healthcare solutions. By broadening, deepening, and accelerating access to Takeda's highly innovative medicines across a range of therapeutic areas, he will also lead the MCO with an Access-First approach.

Over the course of his 20-year career at Takeda, Dion has held several global and diverse roles across various markets and disciplines. With assignments in Singapore, Europe, and the US, his healthcare career spanned the globe.

The former Head of the US Oncology Business Unit (OBU) and Head of Oncology for Emerging Markets for Takeda had prior roles as Head of Europe and Canada OBUs based in Zurich and Head of Oncology for Emerging Markets, where he contributed to the globalization of Takeda Oncology.

As Head of Portfolio Management for Emerging Markets in Singapore, Dion built the commercial therapeutic area teams and capabilities across approximately 50 countries and helped pioneer Takeda's Access to Medicines program. Furthermore, Dion has served in various key roles at Takeda, including Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Marketing, Investor Relations, and Financial Planning & Analysis.  In 2008, he led the acquisition of Millennium Pharmaceuticals, which significantly expanded Takeda's oncology pipeline.
