BioMalaysia kicks off in Kuala Lumpur

Singapore: Malaysia's Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI) and BiotechCorp have kicked off BioMalaysia & ASEAN Bioeconomy Conference and Exhibition 2015, being held in Putra World Trade Centre from 17 - 19 August.
Some of the key speakers at the conference include Dr Dominic Wall, chief scientific officer, Cell Therapy; Dr Philip Mendes, prinicipal, Opteon; Dr Viraj Perera, CEO, Platcom Venture who would be sharing their thoughts on importance of IP and regulatory aspects for commercialaization and global business. Mr Salman Bokhari, managing director, Sidrapex would be talking on creating local strat-up firms for global market.
BioMalaysia & ASEAN Bioeconomy has established itself as one of the key meeting points for industry professionals. Over the years, the event continues to increase its value as a platform for the birth of fresh ideas, practical solutions and effective collaborations for global and Malaysian biotechnology industry participants.
Malaysia, as one of the most competitive biotechnology hubs in the Asia Pacific Region, has also recognised the importance of a Bioeconomy, and has taken early critical steps in coordinating and intensifying national efforts to harness Bioeconomy's potential through the implementation of the Bioeconomy Transformation Programme (BTP).
