Innovation-forward personalised and preventive healthcare management centre for Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area

The Asia Pacific Institute of Healthy Ageing (APIoHA) has launched first-of-its-kind medical centre, injecting a new wave of "evidence-based, data-driven" momentum into Hong Kong's preventive healthcare sector. Officially commencing services in June, APIoHA is a holistic health management centre dedicated to serving Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

APIoHA is creating a new protocol in early detection and intervention by combining Hong Kong's renowned healthcare expertise with groundbreaking AI diagnostics and innovation. The APIoHA aims to address dementia at its earliest stages by turning evidence-based research into real-world solutions for Asia's ageing populations.

A unique health management approach based on Screen, Monitor, and Personalise (SMP), APIoHA assists the public in maintaining a balance between intellect, physical, and psychological well-being, achieving preventive care, managing sub-health issues, and living a longer life. Early brain screening, intrinsic capacity assessments, and integrated health care pathways offer comprehensive care.

Hong Kong SAR is at the forefront of this cognitive health revolution with its best-in-class medical infrastructure and cutting-edge technology developed by distinguished Hong Kong SAR and China academia and the private sector.

AI-powered retinal imaging allows APIoHA to detect cognitive decline early, non-invasively, within a few minutes. Additionally, the center offers R&D and patented AI electronic clock drawing tests (CDT), or AI eClock.
