ZTE Corporation, a leading international provider of telecommunications, business and consumer technology solutions for the mobile Internet, and Sichuan , a arm of China Telecom, has carried out the first remote diagnosis of the new coronavirus pneumonia with support for the latest 5G technology. 

5G, featuring high bandwidth and low latency, makes diagnosis and treatment more efficient and convenient. Remote diagnosis via 5G involves the East China Hospital and the Sichuan University Clinical Public Health Center .

Depending on the situation at the site, ZTE employed its CTE equipment to commission 5G services through external 5G signals while building internal coverage points. 

On January 25, 5G indoor base stations were built and interconnected, and the East China Hospital's remote treatment and diagnosis conference room was first connected to the remote diagnosis and treatment system.

On January 26, ZTE completed the rapid construction, optimization, speed test and commissioning of the internal 5G distribution system at another central point of the remote diagnosis and treatment system. 

After the 5G network was commissioned, the Sichuan health and health commission, the East China Hospital and the Public Health Clinic Center inChengdu conducted the remote video consultation.

According to the Sichuan health and health commission work arrangement , the 5G remote consultation system will take the Sichuan University East China Hospital as the central hub, and will be the first batch to access 27 hospitals that have accepted and treated patients. 

In the next step, ZTE will build the first and new 5G remote system for diagnosing coronavirus infection covering three levels: the province, city and county of Sichuan , in order to provide a "single network" for remote diagnosis in line hospitals. head on to help Wuhan . In the future, ZTE will conduct video consultations with the medical rescue team andWuhan through the 5G network, so that critical patients in Wuhan can also enjoy specialized diagnostic and treatment services at East China Hospital.
