Health tech company Q2i, based in the US, has developed an Opioid Addiction Recovery Support (OARS) software application. This innovative solution is designed to help addiction clinics better manage their patient populations and support patients with their recovery plans.

Q2i collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, providers and payers to understand and then realize unmet technology needs.

Using OARS, recovery patients are better connected to, and supported by, their healthcare team throughout their recovery program. OARS is designed to result in fewer relapses, reduced inpatient admissions or readmissions, reduced overdose incidents and ER visits.

OARS consists of a healthcare team portal and a patient mobile application. The user-friendly software empowers healthcare teams to make quicker data-driven decisions by providing real-time reporting, analytics and trend analysis. For patients, OARS provides connection to their healthcare team for ongoing support.

On an average day 78 people die in the US from an opioid-related overdose. Drug overdose deaths are the leading cause of injury death in the United States, ahead of motor vehicle deaths and firearms (deaths).
