Telstra health acquires India based e-solutions firm

Singapore: Australia-based Telstra Health has acquired India-based health software solutions provider, IdeaObject Software. The details of the transaction were not disclosed. Post transaction, the business of IdeaObject and Cloud9 (which Telstra acquired recently) will be integrated into the company.

IdeaObject provides healthcare solutions to multi-specialty hospitals across the globe, developing products for large acute-care facilities, including its Cloud Hospital Information System (C-HIS),which is currently deployed in approximately 250 hospitals and clinics across India, Thailand, Malaysia and the UAE.

The firm employs more than 50 staff in their development center in Chennai. The company was founded in 2008 by Mr Seetharam Malur and Mr Prabhakar Annaswamy. Mr Jim Flynt, GM, Testra health,  said, "The acquisition of both C9 and IdeaObject helps to strengthen our next generation hospital information system offerings to our healthcare customers whilst building on a strong Asian footprint."

Telstra health, provider of e-health solutions works with government, industry, and hospitals to advocate better patient management and e-health solutions. The company provides software solutions for hospital, pharmacy, general practice and specialist doctors, radiology and pathology, aged and residential care, and telemedicine.
