The British Embassy in Korea, the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea, and GSK Korea have signed a three-way Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand adult vaccination in Korea.

The three organisations will form a partnership to promote various programmes to promote the value and necessity of adult vaccination, including the elderly population, and to expand the current national essential vaccination system focused on children to a feasible life cycle.

The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from each institution and company, includingMaurizio Borgata, CEO of GSK Korea; Colin Crooks, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Korea; and Sean Blakely, President of the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea.

The Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently held an international symposium commemorating World Vaccination Week, and various domestic and foreign speakers, including GSK, discussed the necessity of expanding adult vaccination.

This symposium gathered national and international experts, pharmaceutical companies, and key stakeholders to discuss current developments and the future of immunisation policy.
