Fosun Pharma continued to strengthen its innovation-led growth strategy in the first half of 2026, supported by increasing contributions from innovative drugs, pipeline progress and global expansion across its pharmaceutical portfolio.
The company recorded operating revenue of RMB20.377 billion during the period.
Revenue from innovative drugs increased 13.84% year-on-year, with their contribution to Fosun Pharma’s pharmaceutical business rising to 33.35%.
The group said innovative medicines are becoming an increasingly important growth engine as commercialisation accelerates across both domestic and international markets.
Fosun Pharma’s innovative biopharmaceutical subsidiary Henlius recorded revenue of RMB3.5882 billion during the first half of 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 27.3%.
Henlius reported net profit of RMB430.4 million, up 10.3% year-on-year.
Across the reporting period, Fosun Pharma had seven innovative drugs covering 20 indications approved for launch in domestic and international markets.
Henlius also continued to advance its oncology portfolio.
HANSIZHUANG, or serplulimab, received approval from China’s National Medical Products Administration for a perioperative gastric cancer indication.
According to Fosun, the approval establishes a postoperative chemo-sparing treatment regimen and makes HANSIZHUANG the first and only anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody approved for this indication.
Henlius’ investigational PD-L1 antibody-drug conjugate HLX43 also continued clinical development across multiple solid tumours.
Fosun said the candidate has demonstrated preliminary clinical activity across indications including non-small cell lung cancer, with more than 1,500 patients enrolled globally.
Henlius currently has 10 products approved across more than 60 countries and regions and has reached more than 1.1 million patients.
Beyond oncology, Fosun Pharma also advanced programmes in rare and neurodegenerative diseases.
FUMAINING, or luvometinib tablets, received approval for paediatric and adolescent patients with relapsed or refractory Langerhans cell histiocytosis.
Fosun Pharma also expanded its collaboration with AriBio on AR1001, extending development and commercialisation rights into major markets including the United States, Europe and Japan.
Post-marketing confirmatory trials for sodium oligomannate capsules continued during the period, with more than 1,000 patients enrolled as of 31 July 2026.
HT001, an oral NLRP3 inhibitor being developed for Parkinson’s disease by Hengtai Bio, an investee company incubated by Fosun Pharma, also entered a Phase I clinical trial in Australia.
Global commercialisation remained another major focus.
Henlius’ HANSIZHUANG received approval for three new indications in the European Union, while HLX11, a pertuzumab injection, received EU approval and HLX14, a denosumab injection, was approved in Canada.
Earlier in 2026, Fosun Pharma also entered into a strategic partnership with Eisai covering HANSIZHUANG, with aggregate potential consideration exceeding $300 million.
Fosun said its broader innovation strategy combines independent R&D, investment incubation and ecosystem collaboration.
Across the wider Fosun group, investment in technology innovation reached RMB4.2 billion in the first half of 2026, representing an increase of 16.7% year-on-year.
The company said its innovation and globalisation strategy is increasingly translating into commercial and clinical value, with Chinese-developed innovative medicines gaining greater traction in international markets.
