Partnership will continue to grow and benefit the health of the Indonesian people

The Indonesian Ministry of Health has partnered with The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of transforming health services in Indonesia.

This MoU contains support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to the Ministry of Health in realising the transformation of the health system in Indonesia in 3 areas of cooperation, namely implementing the Indonesian health transformation agenda, developing health policies that have a better impact, and supporting Indonesia's leadership in strengthening the health architecture in ASEAN.

The Ministry of Health-Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation collaboration will also involve stakeholders or supporting entities such as research and development institutions, universities and the private sector.

Furthermore, the collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will support the work of 5 Echelon 1 units at the Ministry of Health, namely the Directorate General of Public Health, the Directorate General of Disease Prevention and Control, the Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, the Health Development Policy Agency, and the Health Technology/DTO Sector.
