Biobot Surgical, a Singapore-based medical technology company developing robotic-assisted systems for prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment, has secured S$20 million in its latest financing round led by ClavystBio in partnership with ZIG Ventures.
The funding will accelerate the adoption of its Mona Lisa platform – which integrates robotic needle guidance and MRI-ultrasound image fusion for targeted prostate biopsy and focal ablation workflows – across its international markets.
It will also help to establish a focused US beachhead strategy, expand its clinical and economic evidence base, and strengthen the commercial capabilities required for its next phase of growth.
Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men worldwide, with more than 1.4 million new cases diagnosed annually.
Biobot has deployed more than 80 systems globally and has supported more than 30,000 patients, with adoption across leading centres in Europe and APAC. The company’s evidence base includes more than 50 real-world clinical publications, supporting its role in targeted transperineal prostate biopsy and precision needle placement.
By allowing procedures to move from hospital operating rooms into ambulatory surgery centers and, over time, in-office settings, Mona Lisa helps providers improve access, streamline workflow and strengthen procedure economics.
As part of its US commercialisation strategy, Biobot will work with Fogarty Innovation to define priority clinical segments, expand engagements with clinicians and accelerate adoption.
