ANDHealth, Australia’s leading digital health commercialisation organisation, in partnership with the Victorian Government, has received $2.4 miilion from the Australian Medtech Manufacturing Centre (AMMC) and Biotechnology Fund to create the Victorian Connected Health Innovation & Commercialisation Centre (CHICC).

The CHICC has been established to drive the creation and commercialisation of digital and digitally enabled medical technology companies and raise Victoria’s profile as a leading centre for Australia’s fast growing connected health sector.

Funded by the Victorian Government and rolled out by ANDHealth, the CHICC and associated commercialisation programmes are expected to engage 500 participants per year. The CHICC gives Victorian connected health SMEs access to leading international experts via an international expert in-residence program, targeted commercialisation workshops and access to collaborative and industry-led programs from across Australia.

The CHICC will be based in Melbourne Central Business District (CBD), linking the BioMedical Precincts of Parkville and East Melbourne with the emerging technology hubs of Cremorne and West Melbourne.

The project forms part of the Stronger Medtech Connections Programme delivered by the Victorian Government’s $20 million Australian Medtech Manufacturing Centre (AMMC). AMMC aims to strengthen connections between manufacturers, researchers and innovators to grow Victoria’s medtech manufacturing sector.
