University of California, Berkeley, US, is set to upgrade its labs using Agilent's instruments
Singapore: Agilent Technologies has joined hands with the College of Chemistry, University of California, Berkeley (UCB), US, in its campaign to redesign and rebuild its chemistry and chemical engineering laboratories.
The 'Chemical Science Laboratories for the 21st Century' project is now under construction in the university's Latimer Hall, which will be equipped with a comprehensive collection of Agilent's latest high-performance chromatography and molecular spectroscopy instruments and software, providing students with daily access to some of the most sophisticated laboratory equipment available today.
The university purchased Agilent's comprehensive instrument package as part of a multimillion dollar initiative to redesign and rebuild the undergraduate chemistry laboratories-a facility that had not been upgraded for nearly 50 years.
The new collection of instruments features a complete portfolio of products for the diverse needs of the teaching laboratory. Key components of the collection include automated instrumentation and software to efficiently process large volumes of experiments.
