Australia's Monash University and Thermo Fisher Scientific strengthen strategic collaboration

To improve research infrastructure and provide educational exchanges such as internships and workshops

Monash University, Australia has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Thermo Fisher Scientific with the intention of accelerating scientific advancements, fostering social responsibility and championing educational excellence.

Thermo Fisher and Monash’s strengthened alliance underscores their commitment to leveraging their combined expertise for the benefit of society and the scientific community. With a focus on research, development and innovation, the collaboration seeks to improve research infrastructure and provide educational exchanges such as internships and workshops. Additionally, it emphasises values-based initiatives aligned with environmental, social and governance standards, corporate social responsibility, and Indigenous allyship.

“We feel privileged to have such a genuinely strong relationship with a university of the calibre of Monash,” said Dominic Straneri, Thermo Fisher’s Vice President and General Manager for Australia and New Zealand. “Today marks the formal start of a deeper, strategic connection that we know will lead to world-leading research and academic excellence, further enhancing Australia’s global status in science and innovation.”
