Mumbai: SIRO Clinpharm has been awarded the Indian Clinical Research Organization of the Year 2012 Award by Frost & Sullivan, a leading global growth partnership and consulting firm. The award was received by Mr Gopakumar Menon, CEO, SIRO Clinpharm, on behalf of the employees at the 4th Annual India Healthcare Excellence Awards 2012 held on September 21 in Mumbai.
"I am proud to receive this award as an ambassador of exceptional professionals across three continents, whose daily pursuit of excellence has resulted in SIRO Clinpharm receiving this award for two consecutive years," said Mr Menon.
This award is a testimony to SIRO Clinpharm's commitment in supporting all stakeholders - sponsors, investigators, and patients, through highly ethical, transparent and best-in-class services. "As the Indian markets open to the western world, there are a number of challenges we face not just as a company but as an industry. However, we have been able to convert these challenges into opportunities by ensuring process excellence, improving service delivery and focusing on training & development of our resources - thus, delivering a spectrum of services that is unique to the industry," said Dr Vatsal Shah, head - Medical Writing and Pharmacovigilance, SIRO Clinpharm.
According to Dr Ajaykumar Sharma, associate director - Pharma & Biotech, Healthcare Practice, Frost & Sullivan, South Asia & Middle East, "It is really an honour to present SIRO Clinpharm this award. With all the regulatory challenges which had taken off the sheen from the Indian CRO industry in the last few years, it is amazing to see a company repeating this feat for the second year in a row. There was unanimity among the jury in rating SIRO Clinpharm as the best CRO in India for 2012."
