B Braun Medical will update drug library capability for the CME BodyGuard Twins 121 Dual Channel infusion pump

Singapore: B Braun Medical is going to feature a new and updated drug library capability for the CME BodyGuard Twins 121 Dual Channel infusion pump at the Air Medical Transport Conference (AMTC), which is scheduled to be held at Virginia Beach, US, from October 21-23, 2013.

The new customizable two-channel pump will give users the ability to create and upload a drug library via their personal computer. Once the pump is connected, the library is uploaded via a universal serial bay (USB) cable and a single library build can be uploaded onto multiple devices.

Users will be able to build a drug library with up to 100 drugs, with limits and dose and drug concentrations. They will also have the ability to view and print pump settings and event logs. This upgrade will streamline programming processes.

Mr Eric Melanson, director, marketing, B Braun, said that, "Our established base of air transport and EMS Twins users will really appreciate the flexibility and increased efficiency that the new software and firmware deliver, enhancing value for an already lightweight, rugged and high-uptime dual channel pump."
