  1. What have been your key contributions within the organisation towards fighting COVID-19?

As the head of the Supply Chain Management team, my focus has always been to maintain the highest standards. It was important to me early on to have supply chain strategies and contingency plans in place to support our operations, both internally but also for our external partners who were working on these COVID-19 treatments and vaccine development. Following the pandemic, we remained committed to building a stable supply chain, not only to withstand market fluctuations and sudden disruptions, but also to support our long-term business growth. As in the case of COVID-19, I felt it was critical to ensure that there was no disruption to our business cycles and that we continue to maintain routine manufacturing and GMP compliance.

  1. How have you been able to tackle the pressure created by the pandemic?

First and foremost, this was truly a team effort not only within my department, but in the entire organization as well. The company trusted and supported the decisions we were making in Supply Chain Management, which allowed us to develop an effective strategy to withstand pressures brought on by the pandemic. I always emphasize to my team that no matter the problem, it’s important to always find a solution and “make it happen”. This mentality that I’ve instilled in my team ultimately drives us to action to overcome any challenges we may face in order to deliver results and fulfill our promise to build a better life for all humanity.
