Bringing established scientific expertise and sample-critical capabilities closer to clinical research in New South Wales

360biolabs, a BioAgilytix company, has opened a new laboratory in Sydney, bringing its established bioanalytical expertise to New South Wales.

The new 360biolabs facility in North Ryde is strategically located within one of Sydney’s vibrant science and medtech hubs, Macquarie Park Innovation District alongside a growing community of innovative companies and research organisations.

Purpose-designed to support both current and future requirements, the facility features state-of-the-art laboratory and office spaces constructed to exacting standards. The laboratories incorporate robust quality and operational systems for containment, security, IT infrastructure, and reliable service delivery.

The Sydney facility has recently achieved Australia’s National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA)  for compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and operates under the same rigorous procedures, policies and quality standards as 360biolabs’ three other world-class facilities, strategically located across the major population and clinical research centres of Australia.

The Sydney laboratory encompasses significant BSL-2 space supporting PMBC isolation and flow cytometry with separate dedicated laboratories for sample reception, sample storage, in a 24/7 temperature monitored facility, including ULT freezer and vapor phase nitrogen cryostorage. These capabilities support time-sensitive clinical samples where proximity, processing speed and scientific oversight are critical.

In 2024, the company expanded its Melbourne headquarters into a purpose-built 3,000 sqm facility, complementing its dedicated BSL-3 and central laboratory facilities at the Burnet Institute within The Alfred hospital precinct. In Brisbane, 360biolabs operates a laboratory at the Translational Research Institute Australia (TRI), within the Princess Alexandra Hospital precinct. These investments reflect 360biolabs’ continued growth since 2015 and its commitment to strengthening the scientific infrastructure and capabilities supporting clinical research across Australia.
