The gap is one of allocation as much as science. Around 20 per cent of research funding across the ten conditions analysed is women-focused, and more than half of that sits in ovarian cancer and menopause. Women-focused work accounts for 16 per cent of scientific publications and fewer than 3 per cent of clinical trials across the conditions studied. Asia's women's health AI market, meanwhile, is forecast to grow from $889 million in 2025 to $5.7 billion by 2034.
