BiotechCorp appoints new chairman

Singapore: Malaysian Biotechnology Corporation (BiotechCorp), the organization involved in nurturing biotechnology companies and creating holistic environments for the industry's growth, has appointed Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr Zakri Abdul Hamid as its chairman. The appointment is effective August 15, 2012.

Dr Zakri, 64, most recently has been the science adviser to the Malaysian prime minister. He has a wide experience in science, technology and innovation and has worked in different roles as researcher, educator, administrator and diplomat for more than 30 years.
