Singapore: Bayer HealthCare was honored by national non-profit CancerCare at their 70th Anniversary Celebration Gala in New York City on April 23.
The gala honors individuals, companies and foundations that have made substantial contributions to improving the lives of people affected by cancer through their partnerships with CancerCare during the past 70 years. The award was presented by journalist and cancer advocate Katie Couric.
Bayer said that it has a long-standing commitment to CancerCare's mission of providing free support services to individuals affected by a cancer diagnosis. "Our partnership with Bayer continues as we announce the launch of the 'Pillow Talk Care Package' and 'Comfort Pillow' that will showcase the importance of psychosocial support in the care and treatment of cancer for patients, families and caregivers, and highlight the value of talking about a cancer diagnosis," said Brian Tomlinson, chief program and communications officer, CancerCare.
"At Bayer, the fight against cancer never stops," said Philip Blake, president, Bayer Corporation. "We're committed to continuing oncology research and we're proud to support CancerCare in their efforts to bring outstanding educational programs to help people whose lives have been affected by cancer."
