Singapore: Japan-based Hoya Group's Pentax Medical has appointed Mr Ganesh Ramaswamy to the position of global president.
"Hoya Group is extremely pleased to have Mr Ganesh Ramaswamy lead the global division of Pentax Medical," said Mr Girts Cimermans, COO, Hoya Group Lifecare Segment.
"Mr Ramaswamy brings a wealth of knowledge, insight and experience from the medical device industry and has a proven track record of delivering results through developing and implementing strategic and operational changes in a multicultural environment. We expect his leadership to further advance the Pentax Medical growth strategy".
Mr Ramaswamy joined Pentax Medical in 2011. Most recently, as senior VP for global technology and quality, he led the transformation and globalization of the R&D and quality functions. Prior to his career with Pentax Medical, Mr Ramaswamy spent several years with GE Healthcare in various strategic and operational roles in the US, Europe and China.
Mr Ramaswamy said that, "Pentax Medical's strengths in medical endoscopy technology combined with the additional advantage of being part of Hoya Group will certainly enable us to be positioned as the global market leader in this field in the future.
