Singapore: Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Modernized Chinese Medicine International Association (MCMIA ) is organizing 12th International Conference and Exhibition of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products (ICMCM) at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 15 to 17 August 2013.
ICMCM is a global forum in the area of Chinese medicine and health products. The exhibition is predicted to attract some 120 global exhibitors from Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Macau, Singapore and Taiwan.
Mr Ronald Ho, Regional Director of Southern China with HKTDC, said, "In recent years, consumers have been searching for safe, trustworthy and mild natural medicine. As a result, traditional Chinese medical products and therapies have become very popular around the world, and demand has soared dramatically. The past five years have seen exports of Chinese medicine in HK increase by 8 percent year-on-year and exceed $17 million (approximately RMB 1.1 billion). The annual ICMCM serves as a platform for those in the field of Chinese medicine to communicate in terms of trade, academics and policies so as to fully explore the development potentials of the Chinese medicine industry."
