Singapore, Aug 30, 2010: Australia's CogState has appointed US life science investment manager Mr Richard van den Broek to its Board of Directors. The company also announced the appointment of Ms Claire Newstead-Sinclair as Company Secretary, replacing Ms Lauren Delaney.
CogState specializes in the development and commercialization of rapid, computerized tests of cognition or brain function.
Mr Broek is founder and managing partner of HSMR Advisors, a US-based fund manager with an investment emphasis on small and mid-cap biotech public companies. HSMR Advisors holds 3.32 million CogState ordinary shares. From 2000 through 2003 he was a Partner at Cooper Hill Partners, an investment fund focused on the healthcare sector.
Ms Claire will also maintain her role as Finance Manager at CogState. She recently joined CogState, prior to which she worked as the Finance Manager for OAMPS Insurance Brokers, part of the Wesfarmers Group.
