Singapore, Nov 25, 2009: Biomedical company, Tissue Therapies has announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued a Notice of Allowance to the company for the second core VitroGro patent “Growth Factor Complexes and Modulation of Cell Migration and Growth”.
This means that the patent has been accepted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and will be granted when the issue fee is paid. This payment has been made.
The acceptance of this patent in the family of VitroGro Intellectual Property (IP) in US follows the prior granting of VitroGro patents in the US, South Korea, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Dr Steven Mercer, CEO, Tissue Therapies said, “The acceptance of the second core VitroGro patent in the US substantially strengthens the IP position and commercial value of the company. The patent examination process is progressing well in other jurisdictions and I anticipate that we will be able to announce the granting of further patents over the next 12 months.”
