Bangalore, Aug 23, 2010: Mr Sudhir Kant is the new COO of Avesthagen, a Bangalore-based integrated systems biology platform company that focuses on achieving convergence of food, pharma and population genetics leading to predictive preventive and personalized healthcare.
For the past 25 years, Mr Sudhir was working with the US biosupplier company Millipore, and was heading the company's Indian operations, as President from year 2000 in Bangalore, where the company has its manufacturing and research facilities. Earlier this year, Millipore was acquired by Germany-based Merck.
Mr Sudhir has a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from Punjab University, Chandigarh.
