Bangalore, Mar 22, 2010: Aurobindo Pharma, a Hyderabad-based pharma maker has received the approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Submission for Topiramate Tablets 25mg, 50mg, 100mg & 200mg from Health Canada.

Aurobindo said Topiramate Tablet 25mg, 50mg, 100mg & 200mg is the generic equivalent of Janssen-Ortho Canada’s Topamax Tablets 25mg, 50mg, 100mg & 200mg. Topiramate Tablets are indicated as adjunctive therapy for patients with partial onset seizures or primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures and falls under the Central Nervous System (CNS) therapeutic category.

This is Aurobindo’s 9^th product approval from Health Canada.
