Tata Strategic ties up with Pharma Alliance

Bangalore, Nov 20, 2008: Tata Strategic Management, India-based management consulting firm has tied up with UK-based Pharma Alliance to offer management consulting services in the pharmaceutical industry.

The alliance will allow the two companies to develop business in the pharmaceutical industry. The alliance will combine Tata Strategic's understanding of the Indian market, with Pharma Alliance' domain knowledge and global understanding of international pharmaceutical industry.

The tie-up is expected to help the consortium tap domestic pharmaceutical industry and leverage India's cost advantage for project delivery. The companies hope it will create a strong consulting team, which will leverage strengths of each other to address challenges facing the pharmaceutical industry with comprehensive offerings around strategy, cost benchmarking and productivity.

"We are extremely pleased with the tie-up and are confident that the synergy will go a long way in providing assistance to domestic pharmaceutical majors in strategy formulation. Together, Tata Strategic and Pharma Alliance will also assist pharma companies to improve operations and stay competitive under the current scenario," said Mr Raju Bhinge, CEO, Tata Strategic Management.

"The association will open up opportunities for the consortium to tap consulting opportunities in the Indian pharmaceutical space and deliver better value-for-money to clients. We found perfect synergy with Tata Strategic who are well established with a strong foothold across sectors in the South Asian market,” said Mr Steve Watt, Director, Pharma Alliance.
