Singapore, Jan 20, 2010: Omnicare Clinical Research and Clinimetrics Research Associates, both clinical research organizations (CROs) wholly owned by Omnicare, Inc., announced the launch of a joint global safety surveillance and pharmacovigilance solution. Global Safety Advantage provides clients with enhanced quality safety services delivered by a team of safety professionals worldwide.
Using the Oracle Adverse Event Reporting System (AERS), Global Safety Advantage offers clinical and post-marketing adverse event (AE) and serious adverse event (SAE) reporting from initial data collection to regulatory submission and beyond to post-marketing coverage.
The release noted that additionally, the program features value added services including, but not limited to, temporary staffing; consultation and assessment of safety systems/services; and establishment of database systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
