Singapore, Dec 10, 2009: Hard to Treat Diseases (HTDS) and its China-based subsidiary Mellow Hope announce that the company has closed its previously announced pending contract worth about $1.8 million. Also, the batch of MEVAC-DTaP (Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis vaccine, absorbed) that had been delivered to Thailand undergoes further tests for distribution approval on Thailand's market. As the tests continue, Mellow Hope invited Thailand's FDA expert to visit its vaccine production facility in China. The FDA Expert will inspect the facility between 21st-24th December 2009. This invite and the facility inspection aim to speed up the MEVAC-DTaP vaccine registration in Thailand.
Mr Terry Yuan, the CEO of HTDS said, "The FDA expert will scrutinize our production processes and methods used in our production and report his findings to Thailand authorities. We believe that close cooperation with authorities is a key for success in the pharmaceutical industry and we always aim to outperform in this area. We want to be transparent with our customers so they can see we mean business."
