Mr. Jason Pontin was full of praise for India and said the country is finally emerging as a developer of branded technology both for the local and the world market.

Mrs Mazumdar said as a growing country India should first give priority to affordability. “India has to identify its grand challenges and focus on it exclusively. In my company, innovation is based on affordability. That we have a lot of patients from the lower strata of the society, innovation to help them should be affordable for them.”

Dr. Andreas Kirchner said, “We have cooperation with India. German research institutes are looking for potential in India. India with its success stories is a good power to associate with. Tie-ups are key to meet global challenges. Innovation has to be affordable. India has a feel for adoption of new technologies.”
