Singapore: Thailand LAB 2015, an event focused on scientific equipments and instruments, opened in Bangkok with a participation of 191 exhibitors, an increase of 25 percent compared to 2014, with participation of countries from Europe, America, China, Korea, Japan, and India.
Science & Technology permanent secretary, Dr Veerapong Paesuwan, highlighted Thailand's future investment focuses on regional science parks offering laboratory services to 6,345 labs, 2,552 scientific equipment centers, 11,629 research experts, and 42,428 science experts.
Mr. Teerayuth Leelakajornkij, business director, science and technology, VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific, commented, "as the science equipment market is showing strong growth, Thailand LAB 2015 managed to display a compelling market place for suppliers and buyers from across the world."
Thailand LAB 2015 and LIFE Sciences Asia 2015 are also in partnership with local and international associations to host the conferences and symposia to improve research quality, analysis, testing, examining, as well as, laboratory technology and innovation.
The supporters include Association of Medical Technologist of Thailand, Virology Association (Thailand), Genetics Society of Thailand, Science and Technology Trade Association (Thailand), Ministry of Science and Technology, Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS).
The three day business exhibition is estimated to draw over 8,800 participants from 40 countries during September 9th - 11th, 2015 at EH 105 and107, BITEC Bangna. The exhibition is estimated result in a 15 percent growth in orders totaling approximately 3 billion baht.
