The Ministry is in advanced stages of establishing an Ayurveda college in Bangladesh
Singapore: With the ancient Indian medicine systems AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) gaining popularity in Asian countries, the Ministry of AYUSH is receiving requests to set up AYUSH centers in their countries.
As per reports, the Ministry is planning to set up an AYUSH hospital in Kazakhstan, and it is in advanced stages of establishing an Ayurveda college in Bangladesh, the syllabus for which has already been drafted by an advisory committee.
Mr M Lakshmu Naidu, member of the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) said, "The Ministry is receiving similar requests from other countries, as the ancient Indian systems of medicine (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) have started gaining greater acceptance around the world, particularly after the Department of AYUSH got separated from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW)."
