Global Hospitals is India's fourth largest healthcare provider
Singapore: If reports are to be believed, Malaysia's leading healthcare provider IHH Healthcare, is all set to acquire a major stake in Global Hospitals Group.Based in Hyderabad, Global Hospitals is India's fourth largest healthcare provider.
According to sources, IHH is aiming to acquire nearly 60 percent stake in Global hospitals for an estimated $170 million. Global Hospitals operates in Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad with over 2,100 beds currently.
The deal, if materializes, will be IHH's biggest deal in India and one of the largest deals so far in the M&A sector. Last month, it acquired Continental Hospital, a 750-bed super specialty asset, for Rs 280 crore.
