Ms Subhadra Devi is a lectrurer at Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore
Singapore: Ms Subhadra Devi, a nurse and senior lecturer at School of Health Sciences (Nursing) at Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore, has received International Achievement Award for her service and focus on human healthcare services.
Ms Devi has worked for vulnerable population exposed to gender-based violence and sexual health and reintegration of refugees. She has worked at the Edmonton Centre for Survivors of Torture and Trauma in Canada; the Women's Education for Advancement and Empowerment in Chiang Mai, Thailand; and has helped to improve the health of repatriated refugees from the Thai-Myanmar border back to Myanmar.
The International Achievement Award is offered biennially to a practising nurse, with at least 10 years of nursing experience in the domains of nursing, direct care, education, management or research with a significant international impact.
