Singapore: Following the lines of Facebook and Apple, Google too has announced certain health benefits as perks to its employees.
The company recently declared that the cost of Foundation Medicine's (FMI.O) DNA tests for employees and their family-members suffering from cancer shall be covered from January 2015.
Mr Michael Pellini, Foundation Medicine's CEO, said that the organization had signed a deal with Google recently to offer two commercially available cancer tests ranging from $5,800 to $7,200.
Many consultants indicated that the shortage of talented workforce is compelling companies to offer health perks and retain the employees.
