WHO estimated that 1229 people have fallen prey to blood borne virus
Singapore: Ebola fears swirl Asia as two Nigerians who landed in Vietnam and a Burmese national who arrived in Myanmar are quarantined and are being tested for symptoms of the viral disease.
Nigerians are treated at Tropical Diseases Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City while the Burmese national was taken to a hospital in Yangon in Myanmar.
The Burmese national was returning home from Guinea in West Africa. Victims had history of travel to Liberia too, which is worst hit by Ebola.
An official at the Myanmar Center for Disease Control and Prevention said that samples were sent for testing to a WHO recognized laboratory.
Vietnam has mandatory temperature checks at its two major airports to guard against passengers importing Ebola into the country.
