DKSH healthcare unit has set highest quality assurance standards in Malaysia
Singapore: DKSH Business Unit Healthcare has expanded its infrastructure, by opening a new healthcare distribution center in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. The center represents a significant upgrade in DKSH's capacity and health infrastructure in Malaysia. The facility complies with the latest requirements of GDP and GMP, as well as adheres to strict ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 international standards.
The unit currently serves clinical trial supply chain activities including packaging, labeling and distribution requirements.
The distribution center intends to serve a large array of medical needs of customers and hospitals, dental centers, pharmacies and retail outlets throughout Malaysia. Its strategic location and easy access, promises on time-critical deliveries of crucially needed medical supplies.
DKSH president and CEO Dr Joerg Wolle said, "The new distribution center offers customers the highest level of operational efficiency in logistics and distribution services. The center would help clients outsource services to specialist providers such as DKSH."
DKSH Business Unit Healthcare has set quality assurance benchmarks in Malaysia and was the first to receive, Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices (GDPMD) certification.
The key feature of this distribution center includes a building automation system that monitors the key parameters of the building equipment, humidity, room temperature, ventilation, and power back-up systems. It is also equipped with a real-time alert system, to address issues before they impact product quality and safety.
