Singapore: Bristol-Myers Squibb has appointed Mr Paul Biondi as senior vice president, head of business development and will report to Mr Charlie Bancroft, chief financial officer.
Mr Biondi will lead the development of strategic partnerships and pursue scientific innovations across commercial, development, discovery and technology platforms to complement the company's internal R&D pipeline. Biondi most recently served as senior vice president, head of R&D Operations, Bristol-Myers Squibb.
"Paul has established himself as a dynamic and collaborative leader at Bristol-Myers Squibb and made significant contributions over the past 10 years to our success in R&D and business development," said Mr Bancroft. "With deep knowledge of our R&D strategy and portfolio, strong business expertise and understanding of the healthcare landscape, Mr Paul is the ideal leader to continue our pursuit of external innovation that helps Bristol-Myers Squibb develop and deliver transformational medicines for patients with serious diseases."
Mr Biondi joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 2002 and was appointed vice president of R&D Operations when it was formed in May 2005. He was promoted to senior vice president of R&D Operations in 2010 and has taken on increasing levels of responsibility.
