With full support from the Malaysian Ministry of Health, Asia Medical 2011 will provide a professional platform for the medical equipment and devices community to do business together.
The current Government is looking into 45 new private hospital licenses being granted with the aim to push up the private beds to over 15,000. Medical expertise and technology needs will then increase proportionately alongside with this expansion plan. Although Malaysia is the world’s leader in the manufacture of rubber gloves and catheters, it still imports over 85% of its medical technology needs. This sector creates immense opportunities for both local and international equipment suppliers.
